Gentlemen Atamans and Cossacks!
We like to say the words “Thank God that we are cossacks!” It means Thank God that we are member of the Orthodox Church. What makes us differ from other nations? I would like to say using words of the foreigner, Dutch vice- admiral Krace, who wrote in 1703 :” Cossacks are kind and generous, they don t save up money. They are clever, smart and skilled in military science.” If these words are right for the cossacks nowadays I can't say but I know for sure that we are united with cossacks spirit based on Orthodox faith. To stand for the Faith, Tsar and Motherland is hereditary...
Tsar is in our heads. And though our state is not a monarchy we consider our Leader as a base of peace, prosperity, strength and safty. Motherland in out hearts. And nobody would struggle for it as cossacks would do. Just we are able to love our Motherland as our mother, our child, and a brother. Our love doesnt depend on if it strong or weak, proud or humble. We love our people in happiness and sorrow, in joy and misfortune. Today Russia with the God's help become powerfull in spirit and in material resources. And we are sure that the God will be with us!
The Faith is in out souls. And though not all cossacks visit the Church I am sure that cossacks never betray their Faith.
Not long ago, thanks to devine mercy, the integration of two parts of Russian Orthodox Church took place. Now we are indivisible and in that fact is our power.
These days we are going to pray for the joining up of all orthodox people of St. Russia. But before that we should put much efforts for the integration of all cossacks. At that time we would become a guarantor of the unity of Russia and Orthodoxy.
May the Lord help us!
